What to Expect

Congratulations on taking the first step towards purchasing your next home. Whether you are looking to buy your first home or are a veteran in the home buying process, you’ve come to the right place. Below are the steps we’ll take to get you in your next home.

  1. Call me! Now is the time to get in contact.

  2. If you’re going to get a loan, it’s time to speak with a lender and get pre-approved for one. I can help you know what to expect during this part of the process and put you in touch with a lender if you don’t already have one. Your lender will be the person who let’s you know your max budget and how much you can expect to pay each month.

  3. Once we know your budget, it’s time to start looking at homes whether that’s on-line or in person. Some buyers choose to look for the next six months while others feel ready to put an offer on a home within a few days. There’s no right or wrong to this. Together, we’ll figure out what’s right for you.

  4. Put an offer on a home. Once your offer is accepted, you’ll officially be “under contract.”

  5. Before we can get to the closing table, there are a series of due diligence steps you’ll need to take while under contract. You’ll find yourself doing thing like having the home inspected, securing home owner’s insurance, and reviewing title records. I will help you understand each part of the process and stay on schedule.

  6. Closing. Horray! It’s the day you’ve been waiting for. Once you close on your home, it’s time to move in and enjoy this next phase of life!
